Age 11

I've always liked figuring things out and putting things together. When I was 7 years old, I asked my parents for an iPhone.  They of course said "no".  My dad did agree to give me an iPod to listen to music like my big sister and play games. I really wanted a phone so  I figured out how to download free apps for text messaging and making phone calls!!!  Too bad my aunt spoiled the fun by telling my mom that I was texting and calling family after bedtime on school nights. This was the beginning of my love for technology.

This summer I attended NASA space robotics camp in Huntsville, Alabama and Black Girls Code camp. Now that I've learned about Katherine Johnson, I'm excited to go back to space camp next year and teach my fellow campers and instructors about her work at NASA.  Katherine Johnson has inspired me to follow my dreams.
